Find my iPhone won't add my macbook pro to list of devices.

I am having trouble with the find my phone(mac) service iCloud offers.

I own 3 apple products; an iMac a macbook pro and an iPhone.

The iMac and iPhone show up under the list of devices but the macbook pro does not.

It is an older model, the 2006 2.33 ghz intel core duo 15 inch version. http://support.apple.com/kb/sp24

I have wifi enabled, i have turned the find my macbook option on and off in the iCloud system prefs, and shifted wifi to the top of the list in network prefs.

Im hoping its not an issue with it being an older model, seems like people older mac minis register so this macbook pro should too.

Now Im running out of ideas and wondering if anyone online can help or is atleast having the same problems.

Thanks in advance.

I think it might be a hardware issue, I just upgraded my girlfriend,s Imac (an older 2008 model) with a new hard drive. I partitioned the drive and imported my apps and settings from my macbook pro model 2,2 to one of the partitions. Imac shows up fine, but not the macbook. Hope there is a fix because the laptop is more likely to need locating since the desktop is in my studio which has an alarm.
