Why can't I add events on iPhone 4S Calendar?

I don't have a MAC. Also, when I went to Itunes to sync calendar, it says, "No supported calendar application can be found." Suggestions?

or plug in your iphone to the computer and go to itunes. click on your iphone on the left and when it loads, go to info and check sync ical for calendar. even if you dont sync anything, you will be able to add the event directly to your phone cause the plus sign shows up! hope this helped.

I experience the same problem as scifigeek2. Neither the + or the 'Calender'-buttons are visible on my iPhone calender, so I can't ad any appointments.

When sync'ing with iTunes, I can't check the box 'sync calender' as it says 'No supported calender program'.

Any other suggestions?

I had this problem but mine was related to the iCloud if you go to settings then the iCloud and then turn on the syncing to iCloud it should solve the problem without having to connect it to the computer hope this helps x

I have this problem too. But don't have any answer solve my problem.

1. My Iphone don't have add event button.

2. When I turn to menu "list" on calendars, it's quit to Home Screen.

3. Icould setting quit to Home Screen when i set it to merge "Calendar" and "Reminder"

4. Itune popup error " Itunes could not sync calendars to the iphone "iphone" because the calendars are use by iphone."

Now I've already up date to 5.1 for iphone but it fix only the second problem.

How can I do to slove my problems? I' very suprise that my Iphone still use calendar when I sync.

Try this. It worked for me.

1. Go into the iphones option menu.

2. Pick the section named iCloud

3. Turn of the option name calendar

Doing this allowed me to add events on the Iphones calendar.
