GPS Not Working in iOS5

Ever since i updated to iOS 5, navigation apps like Sygic and Nagignon are reporting that they are unable to get GPS signal. These apps were working just fine before the update.

Even other apps like Foursquare and Gowalla are completely off ... the only thing that seems to be working is Maps but its not able to identify current location correctly.

Its rather frustrating to see paid apps especially Sygic not working ...

I have the same problem on my iPhone 3GS model:A1303 (baseband 05.16.05). Before IOS5, no problems at all, after the upgrade to iOS5, GPS signal is weak. It seems, that application which use GPS jumping from Satelite GPS to Basestation location. All navigation application are out of serios function. On another iPhone 4 with iOS 5 no problem.

Yes I did a network reset and it also did not fix the issue. I have reinstalled the app, but no solution. Also check out the gps info, it gives the coordinates. But the navigation software can't locate the location. Hard to tell what is causing this, if there was a problem in the chip, then gps info wouldn't give the location. If this software can get th location, why can't navigation ones.

I don't think it is a problem of any navigation apps. I don't have any navigation apps on it, just the ordinary MAPS APP which is standard installed on the iPhone. It only shows the location based on Wifi and 3G location, but when i turn these of, no location is even found (does this happen with you guys to?). Isn't it that when MAPS finds a GPS location, the blue dot starts to blink? or does it show a pin of the location?

I just have a blue dot with a circle around it which is small when i am on wifi and large when i am on 3G (location by antenna).

Is there a way to read the GPS coordinates in iOS5?

Does anyone know if this is already reported to Apple? I was hoping that iOS5.01 was having a fix...but until know there is no bugfix in this update so far....

The blue dot does not blink, it shows you te location and the blue circle is the radius in which you are present.

Also the wifi has to be on for the GPS CHIP TO get your location. Also to get your location use a App in AppStore GPSINFO, it will tell you how it is getting your location. Try it out and let me know. My maps work, but it is not very accurate.
