Purchased alert tones are being placed in Music and not Ringtones

I've purchased several alert tones and everything was working fine. After a recent sync the purchased alert tones are showing up as music instead of ringtones and therefore cannot be synced with the phone and used as alert tones. The files are all .m4r files and haven't been messed with by me.

I see other people with similar problems. Is anybody from Apple aware of this problem? I've got alert tones I can't use now.
