Buzzing noise when iPhone 4s vibrates

I have the same thing.

When the vibrate is on it sounds like the phone is rattling or something is loose. Its extremely loud. Way louder than my iphone 4. I thought it was the case, or the sim door too, but its not. If you grasp the phone firmly, it goes away wich leads me to belive something is loose on there somewhere...

I might bring it to the apple store later today if I have time.

My iPhone 4S does the same thing. It's very annoying, I'm going to apple store to return it. I had iPhone 4 since day one and I never had any issues with it.

I took it into the Apple store yesterday, and he said it's probably the plastic pull tab for the battery buzzing inside. Unfortunately, it didn't seem to be making that noise when I took it in, so nothing got fixed (I'm going to make a video comparing it to another *quiet* 4S to show them). But today it's buzzing pretty darn loud.

I just listened to that recording and my iPhone 4S sounds the same.

Yep, that's it. The Apple specialist I talked to also said that the vibrator motor is apparently different than the other iPhones, so that may be partially why we're seeing this problem with the 4S. I'm hoping this issue gets enough attention so that they can fix it properly.

I also am experiencing the loud buzzing noise on my iPhone 4S; my friend also got a 4S and his does not make the buzzing noise when it vibrates.

I had the same problem too, and i took it to the apple store and at first they were denying the fact that there was a problem (only because the apple rep coun't hear the difference due to the noisy environment) until i set a long custom vibration and compared it to one of his demos. He then realized that there was a difference and he did in fact swap it out for another..i hope apple dosent have a big problem on they're hands.

I went to Apple store yesterday and they replaced my iPhone. It's perfect now.

I have the same problem. Even holding my finger on the bottom right corner eliminates the buzzing noise. I think that the screen could be slightly loose.

I don't mind this when it's in my pocket, but the alarm gives me a bit of a shock in the mornings now.

And I don't really want to exchange the phone, because it's perfect otherwise. I definitely don't want to end up with a faulty screen some of the people here are reporting.

I have the same problem. Is this a manufacturing defect?

Had the problem in my 4s. Took the phone back to Apple and they said they would replace it. Having to wait for a new white 32gig to come in though.

Had the same issue with my white 64gig 4s. Went into the Apple store today and the guy thought I was crazy even though I had him compare mine versus the iphones on display. They both have the same level of vibration but mine had an audible sound while the displays did not. After taking it in the back twice and giving me a bunch of attitude he did exchange it out. Unfortunately the new one is doing the same thing, although not quite as bad... Not sure where to go from here as the vibration on this phone disrupts my meetings at work it is so loud.

Just received my iPhone 4s today, phone is great but I experience this same noise coming from the bottom right corner of the phone. Noise sounds identical to that described in the above video. Not sure what it is, hopefully apple is able to produce a solution for it.
