Automatic Volume Change (not automation related)

Recently Logic Express has been changing my volume leval on tracks (midi only) from 0 to 3.2 or so. I have no idea why this is occuring other than the fact the are 2 large white bars where the volume change occurs on the track in the sequence area. I did not specify this to happen with automation. I have tried making sure automation levels are at 0 for all tracks but they still change so I don't think that is the source of the problem. This is a recent occurance and I'm begining to think it's a bug of some sort. We all know the frustartion that can lead to. Anyway any help will be greatly appreciated.
