I've got a problem with the music app on my ipod touch (3rd gen.):

It plays a song but it shows the wrong cover, title etc.

and when the song is finished it stops!

I only want to listen to music in the shuffle mode like before...

    same problem here. the upgrade took awhile too. after that i noticed the player either skips some songs or just gets stuck without playing it. and most of my playlists dont work. that's so far the major boo-boo i discovered. i haven't tested my other apps yet.

     

    im trying to restore my unit now. hope it works.

    Same problem here with iOS 5 on an iPhone 4. Many songs don't play at all, others play with wrong artwork snd title. During shuffle playback often stops after one song and can't be restarted without major fiddling. FOrget about the headphone remote. It's a mess.

    guys try restoring back to factory settings because that's exactly what i did. and it worked!!! i noticed that it loaded ALL my songs and everything else that was missing (photos, etc.). last night i didn't notice if it uploaded my music library and apps. now it did.

    Same here, I filed a bug report w/ Apple. Noticed this happening when I finally got around to play music with new iPhone 4S, after asking Siri to play dance music (the type of music I'm sure doesn't matter), music playback randomly stops after a few songs. The only way I could get it to work again is to do a hard reset (press Home + lock buttons together). Hopefully they'll provide a software update soon.

    That does seem to do the trick for the iPhone 4. Thank you! It removed the mysterious 5GB of "other" files at the same time. Still a fix to the app seems in order, because things are all squirrely on the iPad 2, also.

    i had the same problem with player, after removing all music and synchronizing it again, problem was solved, but now a bigger problem with player, in horizontal mode after scrolling left or right player just shuts down, few times my iphone did soft reset on its own. i did several times hard reset, removed everything from iphone and synchronized again, but still the same problem, scoll left or right and player shuts down. anyone had the same problem? please help
