I have read many articles about this, I've tried shutting down and turning back on, signing out and signing back in etc. But on my iPod touch 4 with iOS 5 iMessage's wil not send to my friends that DO have iOS 5. I have checked their email address' they are correct! It just tells me 'MESSAGE SEND FAILURE'

this also solved my problem, now all the messages are syncronize on all of my iOS devices

settings- wifi- click the ">" then press DNS .. you can edit it..
