Transferring pictures between iphones
How do I transfer my pictures from my iPhone 4 to my 4s without auto syncing everytime I plug in?

their on my iphone 4 camera roll, iv tried plugging them both in dragging and dropping copy and pasting everything i can think of, im not bothered if their taken off my iphone 4 forever as im selling it i just want them on my 4s
You need to import them to your computer, then sync them to your iPhone 4S. Alternatively, you could have restored your iPhone 4S from the backup of your iPhone 4. Camera roll photos are included in the iPhone backup. However, if you've already setup up your iPhone 4S, you will have to import then sync the photos to your iPhone 4S.
they are already on my computer, and i cant sync new iphone from back up as its a new number, i did this yesterday and it got very messy and confused as it was saying on the phone that my nymber was the old one not the new 1 etc etc
so am i right in thinking if i sync themfrom the computer, then turn auto sync off they will stay on the new phone?
If they are on your computer, just sync them to your iPhone 4S.
i didnt want to sync them ideally i just wanted the ones from camera roll on there as there is alot of pictures on my computer and my old iphone 4 used to import them so they are in a date order and would mean syncing all the folders but when i edit folders on the phone would it change it back when i plug it in and it syncs again?
i thought i could just back them up to the cloud then download them onto the phone, i obviously missed something lol
i tried using photo stream still didnt do what i wanted
i synced the photos from a folder and they are on there except their on their twice now in a new folder and photo library, i unchecked the sync box and it asked did i want to remove them i said no so they are still on there which is kind of what i wanted to acheive ill just have to figure a way of only having them on there once
