I've migrated from mobileme to icloud recently. Now my adress name.surname@me.com has been converted to a new Apple ID. Sadly this email is not verified even though it is the primary adress for this account. Furthermore I cannot verify it, as name.surname@me.com is already in use by another apple ID.

 

I guess this other apple ID is the one I am currently using for shopping in iTunes. Uppon managing this accout I can see name.surname@me.com is set as alternate email but I cannot delete it. After clicking on delete and confirming nothing happens.

 

Can't I continue using my shopping account plus using name.surname@me.com for syncing my devices?

    I'm having this SAME exact problem!  And now I cannot add my ME.com email address that everyone knows and uses to my iMessage or FaceTime.  Very frustrating.  I've been meaning to make an appointment and go into the Genius Bar, but I wonder if they will even be able to help with my account at the store!  My Me.com email address is tied between it's own Apple ID and my old iTunes store ID as the alternate email address there where I CANNOT delete it, even though I have another alternate email address there as well.  Don't know what to do.

    Hi Brian,

     

    Did you figure out the issue yet? I've been thinking about this: maybe it helps to remove the .me email-address from all FaceTime and iMessage accounts before deleting in the apple I'd management page. I cannot test this, as currently I do not have access to all concerned devices. Maybe you can try.

    Hey Thomas,

     

    I was able to get my MobileMe email address verified tonight...  I logged into the Manage Apple ID website with my MobileMe email address and it again said it's own email address wasn't Verified.  So I tried, for the **** of it, to add an additional Alternate Email Address and added the MobileMe email address for which I was logged in as.  It immediately took the email and marked it verified with the green check mark.  The only thing, my MobileMe.com email address shows up as the Primary and then again listed under the Alternates.  I tried deleting the one listed under the alternate but it doesn't go away.  I'm just trilled it's now verified and I can log in and use my MobileMe email address in the iMessage, FaceTime and Find My Friends services!

     

    I still cannot, however, delete my MobileMe email address that's still listed as an un-Verified alternate on my old iTunes Apple ID, but it's not affecting the fact that my MobileMe email address is NOW verified on my MobileMe Apple ID!

     

    So all is finally working now, after a week, and after being on Apple's Express Lane Chat and to the store's Genius Bar on Thursday 10/20 which were both a joke.

    anyone work out how to delete your alternate apple id

    my ex has access to it and keeps hacking my acc
