2006 Mac mini MB138LL/A - Max Memory?

I'm a new mac owner - I bought a 2006 mini on ebay and got 10.7.2 installed. I've seen some of the 2006 models being sold with 4GB of RAM, but the specs from apple say 2GB max. Will this 2006 model actually accept and utilize 4GB of RAM?

Thanks!

If you go to OWC (google it) they list the Mini 2.1 as a 2007 model and say it will take 4 GB but only 3 GB will be addressed:

Intel Core 2 Duo

+ Add up to 4.0GB memory*

+ Up to 1.0TB Internal Hard Drive

*Apple factory spec 2.0GB max, OWC tested to support 3.0GB RAM max. 4.0GB can be installed, but only 3.0GB will be addressed.

I have a 2006 MBP and it will recognize 3 GB.
