.. Has there been any movement on this issue yet; so annoying!

Apple doesn't seem to care about everyone's bluetooth issues . I wish they would get AVRCP 1.3 working properly. I've had a ticket open for that for over two months.

Seems to me (one with an iPhone) that it's all about the new Bluetooth specs. They don't seem to be catering to the file transfer community. I don't want to let Apple off the hook so soon or easily, but the specs seem to be all about using it for items like ear devices & the like... For better or worse. You are welcome to provide facts.

My issue isn't exactly the same but similar and the I wanted to report the resolution.

I recently went from a 2010 Honda CRV to a 2012 CRV. I have an iPhone 4 with IOS 5.1 installed.

I was able to pair my phone easily to the hands free link but found the connection was frequently dropping and quickly reconnecting. This happened as many as 6 times on my 25 mile drive to work. I contacted Honda support and they told me that they have had many reports of issues with the iPhone 4 and 4s.

In researching the issue they found the instability could be cured by turning Wi-Fi off on the phone. I started doing that when I am in my car and no more issues.

I have seen many state they turned on Airplane Mode which essentially does the same thing.

This is just so surprising to me, but apparently true. I've tried everything. I went to Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings, restarted it, and it kinda picked up some stuff in the area, but not my ipad. This is soooo confusing! and Apple doesn't care

I have the same problem with my iphone 4s, it refuses to connect to my Macbook (Lion) it keeps searching and when the Macbook sends a connection invite it does not accept ?? It wouldn't identify anyother device either, the wheel just keeps spinning forever. The irony is that I bought the iphone 4s only because I thought all apple prroducts would sync seamlessly with one another and how wrong I was. This is bloody annoying !!!

    WORKED!!

    Settings

    General

    Reset

    Reset Network Settings

Then TURN OFF  Bluetooth ON YOUR iPHONE before starting car or Bluetooth device.  Then turn the Bluetooth back on (iPhone) and it  immediately recognizes the iPhone as a Bluetooth device.

Hey guys, for anyone who has a jailbroken phone I found a fix, from cydia download "Bluetooth service manager " and turn everything off but hands free ( for those who are having that particular issue) worked instantly for me next time I tried to connect and ive tried EVERYTHING.  Connected to my JVC KWADV793 head unit.

    Do something.

I also have a 2012 Honda CRV and can not pair it with my iPhone 4s.  This is the 2nd iPhone 4s, the first one stop working after 1 week.  The 1st iPhone 4s did pair with my Honda but the 2nd iPhone 4s refuses to pair.  Apple - you have a problem.

    Hi All,

I have a 2007 Toyota Camry Hybrid with bluetooth, and an iPhone 4S.  I couldn't pair, and followed the steps below to get resolution -

    "Settings

    General

    Reset

    Reset Network Settings

Then TURN OFF Bluetooth ON YOUR iPHONE before starting car or Bluetooth device. Then turn the Bluetooth back on (iPhone) and it immediately recognizes the iPhone as a Bluetooth device."

This didn't work, until I dug around in the Camry's sub-menus.  It turned out, I had maxed out the number of Bluetooth phones that were paired with the car - in the last 5 years, I had paired six phones with the car.  The iPhone 4S was the 7th phone, and there was no room for it.  After deleting the old phones off, I was finally able to pair.

Bonus: Siri plays through the bluetooth speakers in the car automatically.

I hope this helps one or two Camry owners out there...

I completely agree!  My iPad connected to my blackberry and when I switched to an iPhone, it doesn't work!  Does that seem right to you?  I may switch back as Apples marketing seems to be better than the technology...

Yippy ka yey ******! I have just updated to 5.1.1 and my Jambox finally works!

On the down note, I still cannot connect to MBA. But it looks like we are moving in the right direction.
