Battery Draining much faster on 4S, what can I do?

MY 4S battery drains about 20-30 percent faster then normal. At the end of the day I normally have about 30-40 percent of my battery left. Now it is always down to under 10%. Even asleep it seems to drain much faster. I know the icloud service has some effect on this, but is there anything I can do to maximize battery life....other then the normal things like turning off wifi etc etc...I know those.

There are many things you can try... turn it off or charge it over night, keep the brightness dimmed as much as you can stand it (yes, the screen back light uses more power than you might think) and don't use heavy-duty apps (games, etc.) that much or watch a lot of videos.

Stuff like that generally uses more power.

I have my 4s restored from backup from my 4. Just today at 1:38AM I closed all the apps running. The battery was a little more than half way with power, I woke up at 10:30 this morning and it was dead. Brightness is adjusted as low as possible, wifi was off and it was not being used at all. Basically from 1:38 AM to 10:30 AM with about 60% power and dead when I woke up. I'm charging it now basically calibrating the battery. But to me this is not good at all. My 4 running iOS 5 had a even improved battery life.

Thanks...but I figured out the issue. All my email accounts had the swicthes to sync calendars, notes etc turned on so my phone was constantly using my wifi connection almost non stop. I deleted all my email accounts then did a hard reset of the phone. Then added back all the accounts one by one and now the phone is not warm to the touch anymore and after an hour its still at 100%....so that seemed to solve the issue. Thanks for the advice anyways....

Do what I did.

1.Close all your programs.

2. Delete all your mail accounts

3. Do a hard reset of your phone (hold home and lock key for 10 seconds, ignore slide to power off when it comes up, just keep pressing)

4. Once the phone is back on add back all your email accounts and make sure only mail is selected as what you want to sync.

This should hopefully solve the issue for you. It worked for me.

I have been having the same issue and I've noticed that my "Usage time" is way too high and not accurate. I also notice that my battery last longer when I am not at home which made me think it would be the Wifi.

I just turned off iTunes Wifi Sync and Photostream which both kick in on Wifi, my suspicions lead to one of those.

If it keeps acting up today Im headed into the Apple store tomorrow.

The battery is much worse than my 3GS but I think there is more to the story...

Reduce the screen brightness.

Disable email push and fetch. Set all to Manual.

Turn off bluetooth.

Uncheck everything in spotlight search.

Disable ping under Restrictions.

Minimize lock screen notifications.

Reduce number of apps/services using location services.

Turn off the phone at night.

Set wallpapers to a simple black screen (take a pic in a closet)

Disable vibrate; lower the ringer volume.

Minimize number of sounds used, like keyboard clicks.

Turn off any sound EQ.

Don't use the speaker phone too often.

Disable any iCloud use for now.

I have to agree, I am draining at about 8% an hour in standby.

I did everything I can find on here, removed stuff, turned stuff off, reduced brightness, turned off ping, turned off iCloud and reset the phone and turned it back on one by one. Made sure all emails had fetch turned off, removed calendars and notes from email settings, etc..

I have it charging now with Battery Magic for a full charge w/ top off, so we will see.

Before with my iPhone 4 I would charge it every 3-4 days. Now I need to charge it 2x a day. That can't be right.
