Any luck setting up iCloud on Android?

I've switched over to iCloud and now my Samsung Sidekick won't work with my Mac email. Anyone sorted this out yet?

😕 All - I went to the Apple Store with my Motorola XPRT on Sprint, I asked them why I couldn't configure my email settings for icloud. The tech tried a number of times then hinted to me that it was not an 'iPhone'. He told me I could try endless configurations to get it to work but all might be fruitless as Apple was constantly updating/adjusting their servers whereby Android just will not work with apple's email. He noted sometimes it works temporarily but 99% of the time goes back to having errors. So I called a friend up who works in tech support in Austin TX for Apple. He told me the exact same thing, that some android user's will get their email to work temporarily, but mostly always end up having errors. I unfortunately sold my iPhone 4S when I heard that Apple was going to have the new iPhone 5S out possibly September 15th (still unconfirmed), as I didn't want to have my investment go from a $500.00 phone to a $125-$150 phone. You'd think Apple would want their Android users using their email - guess not.

Good Morning... no one knows Apple better than you, so can you tell me is it possible to check my iCalendar or have it sync with my Android phone? If so, is there a url I can go to for information? I couldn't find anything. I must admit, I will be glad when the iPhone 5 gets released so I can get rid of this Android. So much easier dealing with an iPhone.

As I posted, I have had no luck finding Dav clients that will connect to iCloud on Android, but I continue to look.

I have an Amdroid MyTouch and have tried everything i have read on these posts, but when I hit next after inputting the email address, user name, passowrd, impa.me.com or this preceeded by the 01-07-, I get "please verify user name/password." I did change the password to be compliant. Any ideas?

The server address is not impa.me.com, it is imap.mail.me.com .......

Here's the rest:

If your password does not meet these requirements change it so that it does:

Minimum of 8 characters, including at least 1 uppercase letter, 1 lowercase letter and 1 number, no special characters.

Verify that you are using the correct server credentials:

IMAP (Incoming Mail Server) information:

  • Server name: imap.mail.me.com
  • SSL Required: Yes
  • Port: 993
  • Username: example@me.com (use your @me.com address from your iCloud account)
  • Password: Your iCloud password

SMTP (outgoing mail server) information:

  • Server name: smtp.mail.me.com
  • SSL Required: Yes
  • Port: 587
  • SMTP Authentication Required: Yes
  • Username: example@me.com (use your @me.com address from your iCloud account)
  • Password: Your iCloud password

Note: If you receive errors using SSL, try using TLS instead.

Additional Information

SSL is required for both IMAP and SMTP connection with iCloud. POP is not supported by iCloud.
