Letters disappearing on Pages file when I print!! Help!

I have created a flyer using Pages and I'm using a font I downloaded called "Drift Type". I have used this font before several times with no problems but this time it won't print the O's. I have saved as PDF & JPG and the O's disappear there as well, but when I pull up the Pages file they are there (just won't show up when I print). I tried it with a different letter and it works fine. I tried using a zero, but the font does not have numbers. Can anyone help me??

That would be presuming what's on Tokyo's Mac is the same as on yours.

I have currently Pages '09 v4.3 running on OSX 10.8.3 and the Edwardian Script ITC font appears and prints correctly in PDF.

That is both upper and lower case O and zero.

I also tested it in Illustrator, same thing. No overlapping outlines that I can discover.

Photoshop as part of the Adobe CS suite has its own Font Folder separate from Pages' OSX font folders, so you'd have to track down which font is actually being used where.

I have a MacBook Pro. Using the laptop's keyboard.

Reminder. When I opened the PDF in Acrobat Pro the O is covered with a vertical rectangle. So it would seem that Acrobat Pro cannot read the PDF. Pages displays the O correctly, the PDF does not show the O. The spacing of the text is correct.

I will try the same on a MacBook Air running 10.7. Though no Pages. I will report back in a few hours.

UPDATE.

I used a MacBook Air, OS X 10.7

I wrote text using the Edwardian Script ITC containing a lower case O in TextEdit.

I used Print -> Save as PDF, to create a PDF file.

The O was correctly represented.

I do not have Pages on the MacBook Air, but when I did the above on my MacBook Pro using TextEdit the O did not appear in the PDF. This would seem to make Pages not an issue.

Any thoughts?

Thanks Peter,

Both Macs have English and Japanese input methods.

The System Preferences -> Keyboard do not have a select keyboard on my OS release. No references to the letter O.

I did a screen grab of all the alphbetical characters and all display correctly. It is only the MacBook Pro, 10.6 that does not show the O when saving to PDF.

Is there anything else I can try? It looks more like there is a problem with the PDF conversion. Though in the archived Discussions the letter O has been mentioned.

I am not sure.

PDF is a native format in OS X. So it looks like all applications can create a PDF using OS X. Leading one to believe that all applications would act the same way. Which was the case using Pages and TextEdit.

So it looks like it is a OS X issue.

My OS X 10.6 has the problem but OS X 10.7 works correctly when creating a PDF.
