Loving my iPhone 4S, but a bit frustrated by trying to get 1080 video uploaded to YouTube.
I tried uploading directly from the iPhone 4S, no dice.
I tried uploading to YouTube from the iMovie App, no dice.
So, how is this done?

I did some research on this, you need to upload from your computer, not directly from the device. No idea why this is, but I transferred the video from my iPhone to Mac, and uploaded it, uploaded in 1080p 🙂

I just looked... I couldnt find 1080p on youtube at all.. the highest def i found was 720p. I was able to upload video to youtube in 'HD' and then up-convert to 720 from youtube.
1080 is possible on YouTube.
Again, the question is HOW this is done.
I'd like to hear detailed, precise and specific instructions from somebody who has actually done it.

That link mostly seems like an ad for a product. There has to be a simpler way to do this.
Question. When you are shooting the video...which lens are you using (which side of the phone)? I was trying to figure out why mine would only upload in 720p and I think I figured it out. I posted a blog about the steps I used to get 1080p and I didn't have to use any software that wasn't already on my computer. Do you have a mac or pc?

Thanks for this. I am definitely using the high-res, side. I was not aware that the lens in the touchscreen also got an upgrade though! The iPhone 4's front lens only shot in very low res.
So, I'm using the lens.
I'll noodle around some more uploading directly via the computer and using iPhoto.
