No Sound, need STEP BY STEP HELP

I am a computer idiot, and i have recently updated my iTunes and Quicktime to 7.04 (iTunes 6.02) I cannot get any audio on ANY video playback in MOV and other Apple formats. My MPGs and other videos work fine. Is there a way to fix this. I am extremely frustrated and Apple does not provide any solutions to this. I have read that i have to uninstall and than reinstall but i dont even know how to do that. Please if someone can hlep give me a STEP BY STEP guide. Urgently needed. thanks.

To remove Quicktime 7:

Click on Start button > Settings > Control panels >Add/Remove Programs >Quicktime > remove

To get the audio back to your Quicktime .mov movies go to:

http://www.apple.com/support/downloads/quicktime652forwindows.html

Download Quicktime 6.5 for Windows, and install it. This will get your audio back to your movies.

HOWEVER, it has the added draw back of iTunes no longer functioning, as apparently the new version of iTunes will not work with older versions of QT. To make matters worse, iTunes 6 apparently somehow brands all your music library so that if you re-install an older version of iTunes it will not let you play any music you have downloaded from the itunes music store. So if you have any songs in the protected format, go ahead and burn them to an audio CD first so you can still have access to them.

Hope that helps. With all the people that are having this same audio problem, Apple needs to get on the ball and get this bug fixed pronto.
