error -35

I've tried upgrading my iPad to Os 5. Its a v1 iPad.

Each time I get an error message on my iMac that it cannot back up my iPad (error -35).

The iMac is running OS X 10.7.2

I'm now a little demented as I've tried USB hubs in and out different cables etc.

Any suggestions?

Try this fairly complex troubleshooting:

I have done all that the article suggested including using a mac without antivirus or firewall operating. I have changed USB ports, hubs etc. I have the most direct connection possible to my broadband.

The article is useful and tries to be helpful but I am now in the realms of what next. I have successfully updated to iOS 5 on my iPhone 3GS and my daughter has successsfully updated her iPad. I have failed with her computer. All looked good until the final error message that my Ipad could not be restored. The device cannot be found.

My macbook has a very limited amount of software installed with no antivirus or firwall running. It too has failed.

As I said, I am now in discussion with apple about what next.

Seems I have the same problem. Ihave tried all that is mentioned for error 35 , 13 and 14, and still the same result.

The Ipad dies in mid-sync every time, and then I get that message. Doesn't matter what I do.

My Iphone syncs on the same computer without problems.

Ipad fault?

( I can transfer purchased apps and so on from the Ipad to Itunes)
