I'm getting the same error this morning. Anyone have any idea? I can't back up in the meantime.
Same issue here - rang Apple Support they ran thru ususal diagnostics (turn off reboot etc) no joy.
I turned off auto back ups and did a m,anual one and it worked hoiwever when i turned on auto back ups same problem
Updated to icloud and 1o.7.2 - reckopn it must be a bug Apple need to fix. Hope Apple are reading
I have the error problem too although it doesn't happen every occasion Time Capsule wants to back up.
This has only started after I installed 10.7.2.
I turned of the power and it did one succesful backup but does not back up automatically. I have a laptop also and it is backing up to the same time capsule successfully. So the problem must be with a setting on my mac but the software is exactly the same I have done the same updates.
Same here, I have just upgraded my iMac from Snow Leopard to Lion 10.7.2 and now receive the same error message. I also have a Macbook Pro running Lion 10.7.2 and it is backing up with no problem.
Same here error as follows: The backup disk image “/Volumes/Stephen Barbour's Time Caps/Stephen Barbour’s iMac (3).sparsebundle” could not be accessed (error -1)
Please apple im a great fan but this needs to be addressed ASAP please
Same here... started with 10.7.2 :/
I stated earlier that my Macbook Pro was backing up OK, this is no longer the case. So now I have 2 Macs not backed up. Never had any problem till I upgraded my iMac to Lion yesterday. Really hope this gets sorted soon.
I'm getting the same error (cannot access sparse bundle error -1) after I've updated my mac with iCloud (on 13 october)
thanks at all
Exact same problem, after updating to iCloud, etc., but only on one of our two iMacs. The other seems to be working fine. Sure hope Apple sees and responds to this soon.
I also updated my Mac to 10.7.2 last night as recommended with iCloud start-up and got the same error message: backup disk image "/Volumes/Data/ My iMac.sparsebundle" could not be accessed (error -1). Very frustrating. This seemsto be a common problem so maybe Apple will fix it soon.
Yes not rushing to do what local apple store suggested that maybe I would have to delete sparse bundle and start again. Will wait and hope someone from apple fixes this.
I had the same problem with a brand new Time Capsule. Initial backup was made successfully (10.7.2) and worked for a couple of days and then I started getting the error message two days ago. Rebooting the MacBook Air and the Time Capsule resolved the problem, and I've had no further issues.
Same problem here, replied on another thread regarding this issue.
I backup on my Synology NAS.
First I tought its my NAS, but it worked properly before 10.7.2 but I couldt find anybody with the exact problem and error.
I tried reformatting my whole NAS, no luck worked for 2 days getting the error now.
I even tried reformatting my iMac no luck either.
I've formatted my Timecapsule but the error is the same: "cannot access sparse bundle error -1"
it seems it needs to force ejecting of "Time machine disk": after this operation time machine works.
I hope it is resolved soon
Thanks
