Why wont my macbook boot after bootcamp install?

I installed bootcamp on my white macbook, and it will not boot. It turns on, makes the sound, but the logo and spinner dont show up. Instead, it goes the a black screen.

MacBook, Mac OS X (10.6.8), Bootcamp 3.0.8 (i think)

Hold down the option key at start up, and this will bring up a list of partitions that your computer can boot from. Both the Mac OS X partition and windows partition should be there.
