Mute Dictation Start and Stop Tone on iPhone?

Is there any setting that can be adjusted to mute the dictation start and stop tones?

With iPhone 4S, when I tap the microphone on the keyboard, a tone sounds. Since the microphone button is next to the Caps button, it is easy to hit it accidentally. This is a serious problem when I am texting from some place where cell phone tones are unwelcome like court.

I have tried to disable this with the mute button on the side of the phone. That does not work.

Yes, it's true that you can turn down the volume for voice dictation separately, but remember that this applies to all voice activated features, including Siri. So next time you activate Siri, you won't be able to hear her.

This essentially means you have to maintain two separate volume settings-- one for your phone at large, and one for voice activated features.

It would be nice if either the keyboard mic tone could be independently deactivated (without silencing Siri) or there were a setting that allowed keyboard-activated tones to be subject to the mute button.
