Hi, i have an iphone 4s from t-mobile slovakia, and im unable to activate it or ulock it because of that.. can i pay you trough paypal so you can send me an t-mobile slovakia sim car so i can use it?

I started looking at this thread yesterday after two phone calls I made whilst in my car, stationary yet in a 4+ bar reception area with 3G. Each call was lasting more than 5 minutes. As soon as it hit the 5.23minutes, it completely dropped out and I was left with the 'call failed' message displayed. I pressed the green button to try and call again. Luckily, the person I was calling hadn't put the phone down so it automatically reconnected me. But one the second call I wasn't so lucky and had to wait over 5 minutes for the persons answer phone not to cut in each time. Apple need to research this more closely.

The solution for No Service/Searching problem in iPhone 4S...it worked for me instantly...

I have iPhone 4S iOS 6.1.2 (10B146) and had the same problem

Whenever the problem kicks in, just change the date and time of your iPhone and turn on & off airplane mode and wait for it...!! it will work for sure...if it still doesn't work, remove the sim and plug in back...!

Thanks. This fixed the problem for me - I also RESTORED my iphone to factory settings and reset it before changing date and time to local settings. worked!

Looking at how old this thread is [Oct 16, 2011], I doubt Apple looks here, which is a shame, but wanted to record having same problem here in hope that one day, when enough people have reported this, Apple would acknowledge the problem & provide a fix.

generaly a call failed is the carrier. please call your carrier for troubleshooting

That would be true if I had the same problem with the carrier before getting my iPhone

I updated my iPhone 4 to 7.0.2 on 3 October 2013 and ever since i have been unable to make calls. Any advise?

I have problem with my iphone 4s, I recently moved from middle east and bring my iphone 4 s with me to US I bought new SIM card (simple mobile) it work fine for the first 2 days and after that I tart with face the problem in calling (I cant dail the phone disconnected immediatly when I wantto call somebody) as well as when some body try to call me they face voice mail even no rings. When I restart the phone every thing be fine but I face this problem 4 times a day I try to reset the phone to factory setting but the problem not fixed >>> Can somebody tell me plz what can I do???

Sh*t! I gave my 5s to my son and got his 4S, but this POS shows "call failed" all the time. I have to shut it down and restart it to just make a call and who knows how many calls I have missed!!! >_<
