Upgraded firmware on 2 Airport Express device and now not able to use them with airplay in iTunes. What am I doing wrong or is this update the problem?

Recently got an update indicator in the new iOS app that my airport express had a firmware update. Applied the update and now not able to get devices to run airplay. Not trying to use them as routers just wanted send itunes music to airport that has a speacker system attached. What gives? Any assistance would be welcomed. It had been working prior to the update..
