syncing with Outlook 2007

My dates on iPad have always been a day out from my Outlook 2007 calendar dates on my computer.

I have the same problem with the iPad 'Birthdays Calendar'.

With iOS 4 I syned to my gmail (google) calander to fix this problem but was hoping with iOS 5 this would no longer be an issue. Sadly it still is!
I've checked all my timezone settings and reset the sync history a few times but with no effect.
This is very annoying and I'd really apprecite it if someone could tell me how to fix this.

iOS 5 has had lot of hype but is pretty disappointing for me.
I'm sure Apple could do better ....
Thanks
