White iPhone 4S 32GB Camera, Internet Issues.

I have the same problem with the flash on my phone. Mine is white. I discovered that it only happens when I have the case on it. My husband has the black phone and the pictures look the same with or without a case. I think this is a design flaw that Apple should address. Clearly the white of the phone is creating some sort of reflection when the flash is used. I'm considering taking mine back and getting the black phone. The white phones are defective in my opinion.

I have the white 4s and don't have that problem at all. My black iphone 4 did the same thing when I had a case on it as well. I think it depends on the case design that you use. Don't blame the phone when it only happens when the case is on it.

You somehow think the white iPhone is defective because your case messes up photos when it's on the phone?

It's not the case that messes up the photo. It's the fact that the phone is white. My friends and I tested it out. All of us with white phones have the same problems. Those with black phones do not. The white phone causes some sort of reflective light bounce and a haze when flash is used with a cover on. That shouldn't happen and it is not unreasonable to expect someone to put a cover on a phone. The fact that the white phone's flash causes a haze due to reflection when the case is on is clearly indicative of a design defect in my opinion. I paid $400 for my phone and have every right to expect it to work properly with or without a case. It doesn't happen with the black phone, therefore it is a design defect.

I had the same exact problem and was pretty frustrated. I searched the problem online and saw a post asking the person if the protective film was still on the back....mine was. Took it off and problem solved!

I was just searching for a solution for this for my black iPhone 4S which I just got 2 days ago. I had the ah ha moment about the plastic protector just before I read the solution here. Worked for me as well. Just pull it off, and ta da, no more haze!😝

My white phone, with only a bumpe, had the same issue. Too much light bleeds through the glass and causes the issue. Exchanged for a black phone and the problem is gone.
