Push email does not work (iCloud)

Since the update to icloud the push email does not work anymore. Im only talking about the me.com adress no Yahoo oder other Emails. I didnt changed the Mail settings and pushing mails worked fine before the update to icloud.

Example:

When i switched on the phone in the morning the mails i received during the night immediately got pushed to the iphone. That doesnt work anymore. It only receives the mails when i switch to the mail app.

Any suggestions anyone?!? 😟

Im using newest iOS 5 with an iPhone 4S and migrated my old me.com account to iCloud.

Yeah, it was working yesterday after the update. It stopped overnight. Today I deleted my iCloud account from the iPhone, restarted it and configured iCloud again, and it came back on. Seams to be working until now, lets see if it lasts.

On my iPad, thouhg, it is working flawlessly.

So, it is definitely NOT an iCloud problem, but and iOS 5 problem (specially related with the iPhone)!

I jumped in at the beginning of this thread and was having problems with push. I read all of the reset this, make sure that is running, do this, do that posts.

I did nothing and push has been working fine. Every so often it is slow and things will download when I open the mail app. Sometimes you are just better off leaving it alone and let the push start working again.

I am running:

2 icloud accounts

2 accounts with my own domain

2 gmail accounts

In fairness to Apple, they never did say that this release would fix the problem. It is such an intermittent thing that it's hard to say what specifically is causing it. Any fix they do send out will need to be tested for several days before we know it works, simply because the problem does happen so randomly. One of my friends never even noticed the problem until I asked her about it a couple days ago (she swears I caused it!)

It is really annoying, but at least it is easy to work around until they get it fixed. As tired as I am of having to fetch my mail or needing to reboot my phone... will wait for the next bug fix.

"In fairness to Apple"!!!!

How about in fairness to those of us PAYING/ HAVE PAID for mobileme service!

We do love our apple devices, but this is still a business. we pay for hardware and services in exchange for working hardware and services!

Apple dropped the ball big time on this. Steve would be P***ed! Heads would have rolled.

BB outage was only 3 days! This is going on since 12 oct 2011, from release of ios5!!

Look clearly this isn't super widespread issue and plenty of people are running just fine. Why not try a full reset of your phone and set it back to factory settings and set it up again. If that doesn't work why not go to a genius bar and see if they can set up another phone there and add your email account to it and send some test emails to see if they push to both devices?

Have done everything you have suggested. No joy!

Being a long time purchaser and user of Apple products, I have never experienced such downtime/ unserviceability from Apple before. This is well below the standard I have come to expect....and Apple has demonstrated in the past!

Can it be that the loss of SJ= loss in quality?
