Push email does not work (iCloud)

Since the update to icloud the push email does not work anymore. Im only talking about the me.com adress no Yahoo oder other Emails. I didnt changed the Mail settings and pushing mails worked fine before the update to icloud.

Example:

When i switched on the phone in the morning the mails i received during the night immediately got pushed to the iphone. That doesnt work anymore. It only receives the mails when i switch to the mail app.

Any suggestions anyone?!? 😟

Im using newest iOS 5 with an iPhone 4S and migrated my old me.com account to iCloud.

Just wanted to add my name to the list as well. For the past 2 weeks or so my iPhone 4S, iPad 2 and my wifes 4S do not receive email push notifications anymore. Doesn't matter if we're at our house with wifi or on the road on 4G. Interestingly though I receive email notification from my exchange email for work. Even my gmail account pushes emails to my 4S and iPad 2. We are running 5.1.1 on all devices.

I talked to APple car this morning and we deleted my iCloud acount and added it again but it did not help.

If someone has any solution for this issue, please help. It is very frustrating when everything else works except the iCloud and I use my iCloud account for all personal emails.

There is NO solution. Some of us have experienced this issue since October! And yet, no real help from APPLE. Every suggestion is nothing more than a temporary 'fix'...if that.

In a way, I'm glad to hear something happened affecting so many more users just a week ago because maybe now they'll actually fix whatever it is causing this major inconvenience.

I've never seen APPLE let a problem to on for this long, 7+ months, with no comment, no acknowledgment, no solution.

Very disappointing.

There is definitely something going on with iCloud servers in the past days, as my push is working (if a little erratic) for longer periods, having not touched any settings etc. (i have wasted far too much time trying to work out what's wrong and have 'almost' given up on iCloud and am looking for new provider) - together with a flourish of posting activity going on here (more than 90 in the last 3 days), it seems more than coincidental I hope.

FYI I am one of the original posters on this thread, an original mac.com user and have had push problem since last October (similar to several others already posted here).

That's interesting - I have my Mac set to forward this threads notifications (the email I have set is to my own server domain - which I only receive on my Mac). These are the ones I mentioned earlier that I've received in batches. But, I rarely am getting mail sent directly to my iCloud address.

One exception, which occurred last night, was when I sent a couple of test messages from my Mac. It was sometime after midnight, not that it seems to matter. Anyway, I received an instant (just like the good old days of last week) notification for both of those - I sent them one, got the notification, then sent the second. Note that I sent them using my own SMTP server. I then sent a message using iCloud's, and nothing. I switched back to my own - and it stopped working again.

The only good thing was getting those two test messages notifications in succession. I would say, that over the last two days, it seems as though I'm seeing more and more messages get through.

Well this is interesting . I switched to gmail using exchange . I am sitting at home , my iPod touch pushes and my iPhone doesn't !!! I open my iPhone and message appears !

At the office today ,on a different wifi network, my iPhone was pushing on gmail

But my iPad wasn't ! I went to mail on my iPad and my emails appeared .

All of my devices are on 5.1.1 .

This tells me that it is without question a major bug in the iOS

5.0 thru 5.11 software and you can forget about all the bogus fixes

Until they update the iOS software !

I too have been without icloud push email for about 7-10 days! At first I didnt realize it and then around 11:00am I looked down and thought.. hmm I usually have 10-15 emails by now. Opened the Mail.app and boom it loaded all the emails! I was so annoyed becasuse some were time sensitive emails that I didnt even know about.

This is just getting frustrating I've been a .mac subscriber since 2005 and have paid $99/year for .mac/mobileme and now after being a loyal customer they dont want to fix the flaws with icloud. I'm seriously considering ditching icloud and just going with something that works like gmail.

make sure you all fill this out daily as suggested by Was1234:

MAKE SURE YOU TELL THEM HOW BAD THE SERVICE IS!

I spent 2 hours in an Apple Store near my office.

I met a Genius guy.

We tried all configurations, reinstall the phone, recreate icloud account on the device, try with an other device, nothing works.

The Genius call for me the Apple Care, so I don't have to pay for, because my iphone have no issue. I have a case in the Apple Care, they call me back if any news.

It seems to be an issue on iCloud servers.

Just want to say that the Genius man and the Apple Care man were very nice with me, and want to fix my issue.
