Dec 14, 2011 8:19 PM in response to marcwiegelmannby lsjrlsjr,I'm on with CHAT SUPPORT right now and I can't believe it but I actually FINALLY have someone telling me they are aware of the issue! That's all I wanted...well, other than the issue to be resolved...
I apologize, but there is a known issue with the iPhone 4S not allowing mail to be pushed to iPhone correctly. Our engineers are currently working on the next update in order to resolve this issue.
At this time we do not have a date as to when the update will be coming. We only know that they are working to have it included in the next update.
Really hoping it's true. I don't know why the developer community hasn't gotten word of this but hoping for it to come soon. Tomorrow wouldn't be too soon. :-)

Dec 14, 2011 9:45 PM in response to lsjrlsjrby yycBrowncoat,I'm having the issue but I'm not on a 4S. Did the support rep indicate that the problem is cross-device?

Dec 14, 2011 9:50 PM in response to yycBrowncoatby lsjrlsjr,I actually asked her that after posting the previous response because I figured it couldn't be just the 4S. I didn't ask about all models but she did say they'd heard of the issue ocurring with the 4 as well.
I'm assuming it's gotta be anything (iPhones seem to be the main device involved) upgraded to iOS5 and/or MobileMe moved over to iCloud.

Dec 16, 2011 9:17 AM in response to marcwiegelmannby frankfromkonstanz,Mobile Me Push eMail isn't working anymore since yesterday on my iPad and 3GS (iOS 5 latest version), too.

Dec 16, 2011 11:58 AM in response to lsjrlsjrby WScottE,My push stopped working sometime on Wednesday (12/14) -- almost seems like it stopped after I did a back-up through iTunes to my late '06 iMac.
Prior to that, MobileMe was pushing to my iPhone 4S just fine (iOS 5.0.1). Very frustrating as I've contacted iPhone support (iPhone 4S) as well as MobileMe. Not willing to switch to iCloud since it doesn't appear to fix the problem based on other posts, nor do I want to spend the $$ on updgrading my dying iMac to Lion (my iMac has the dreaded vertical lines in the display from a failing display. thanks Apple Quality Control).
Thanks for sharing your support acknowledgement of the issue. I'll contact them again to keep the pressure.

Dec 16, 2011 1:16 PM in response to WScottEby WScottE,I think I found a solution for my MobileMe/iPhone4S/iOS 5.0.1:
I connected to iTunes on my iMac and executed a Restore (didn't allow back-up first). Although it said my software was up to date (5.0.1), it still downloaded a 5.0.1 update. I think this update is the one described on the osxdaily website. It's still iOS 5.0.1, but it's now Version 5.0.1 (9A406).
Anyway, it installed ver 9A406 and as my phone is plugged in to my iMac loading all the backup data from a backup ealier this week, Notification center is chiming away as new emails come in.

Dec 16, 2011 4:31 PM in response to WScottEby theBigD23,I'm having the same issue. I upgraded to the new version, but it didn't fix anything. The new version supposedly fixes the Sim Card Not Found issues.
Anyone that upgraded to 5.1 Beta have the problem?

Dec 21, 2011 9:58 PM in response to marcwiegelmannby MiChiamoMark,There's definitely a problem and I'm not sure where the problem is exactly. I haven't had time to debug on my end. What I've noticed is that when there is network interruption, like when my wifi signal is weak or there isn't a strong hand off between wifi and 3G, the push stops working. It seems that the phone doesn't reconnect itself to the cloud. My workaround is to go to settings > iCloud > Mail. Toggle off. Toggle on. Push starts working again.

Dec 22, 2011 7:11 AM in response to MiChiamoMarkby BostonJ81,MiChiamoMark thats a very good posibility, when I'm downloading a youtube video with a very weak wifi signal, and the phone switched to 3g from wifi, the video stops downloading and I have to go back a page and reload the video on 3g from the begining. So the point MiChiamoMark brought up is very logical with having to toggle off and on, can apple fix that with an update?

Dec 28, 2011 3:37 PM in response to marcwiegelmannby chr15t0ph3r,In case anybody cares, I have an iP4(not S) and a BlackBerry 9700 - both receiving me.com email - both devices experience a minimum 15min lag, sometimes more on the BB (Fetch schedule 15mins on iP4). Prior to iCloud it was instant on both. Hope the Apple heroes sort it our ASAP.

Jan 2, 2012 6:19 AM in response to chr15t0ph3rby Mike-Mpls,Just adding my post to the long list of people experiencing the same issue - sporadic non-functional push email on mobileme on iphone 4s

Jan 2, 2012 1:28 PM in response to Mike-Mplsby Chrisdf28,I've had this issue since i first registered to iCloud (i'm a previous MobileMe subscriber) & since yesterday, my push has been working flawlessly. I also had an issue with my iCloud calendar showing duplicate birthday entries, that has also fixed itself. I didn't do a thing. It fixed itself on it's own. I wonder if the two are related? If not, that would be one **** of a coincidence.

Jan 2, 2012 7:27 PM in response to Chrisdf28by WTSL,I've been frustrated with iCloud and Contacts. It seems to work intermittently. I update a contact on my iPad but it never makes it to the Cloud and, therefore, to my iPhone. At other times, it works well. I suspect all these issues are related. Has anyone had the problem I'm experiencing with Contacts?
