Feb 29, 2012 4:43 PM in response to tebby Harris Edmonton,Teb, I am less reassured than you. This seems to be mostly individuals who have migrated from mobileme whgich wasn't a great success for the company in terms of the number of people who used it. Also, I waited for many months before posting anything, on the assumption that Apple was going to resolve this problem. I suspect that most people don't post even though they may have a problem. Therefore, currenlty there are 27 pages of comments on this thread. That alone suggests a widespread problem. However, as the number of iCloud users continues to increase dramatically, I suspect that us loyal mobileme users are forgotten. Hence the huge delays in solving a significant problem for many individuals.

Feb 29, 2012 5:02 PM in response to Harris Edmontonby WScottE,With the iPad 3 coming out next week, maybe we'll benefit from "and other fixes" resulting from an associated iOS update...

Feb 29, 2012 11:29 PM in response to WScottEby Enryx,I was a MobileMe user and, all people like me you know, don't have any kind of problem before iCloud. After I transfer my account to iCloud push never works well.
I know for sure there's big problem in Europe, i.e. in Germany there are some legal rights to solve and push was disabled. I am sorry to say Apple iCloud push is a FLOP!!! I need it for my job!
I don't know what to do. Standby...

Steve would be turning in one's grave if he hear about this!

Mar 2, 2012 6:12 PM in response to marcwiegelmannby ChutneyFerret,I have a mobileme address. Push hardly ever works on iCloud. I got home today and opened my iCloud mail and had 16 emails, none of which had been pushed to my iPhone.
This is a very unsatisfactory service and I will be looking for an alternative.

Mar 2, 2012 6:27 PM in response to ChutneyFerretby Jim144,With the exception of infrequent server maintainence, Push always worked for me with MobileMe and has continued to work with iCloud.

Mar 2, 2012 6:40 PM in response to Jim144by theBigD23,It goes in and out for me. Sometimes I get emails and sometimes I don't via push. It was working earlier in the week and then stopped. I also migrated from MobileMe.

Mar 6, 2012 3:16 PM in response to marcwiegelmannby kwn,Is there anybody from Apple reading this discussion? You should act emediately!
It is a shame sending out advertising news about the Xth App Store download and what's new on iTunes but not giving any notification about shutting down email push service in Germany. What do you think we do with all our Apple equipment and services like MobileMe we payed a lot of money for? As Enryx mentioned before: I need it for my job!
Should I really think about going back to my oldfashioned but working BlackBerry?
I remember the times in the early 1990s very well when Apple was not interested in customers satifaction. Before smashup Steve came back. Next time there is no Steve.

Mar 8, 2012 6:12 PM in response to marcwiegelmannby Pinaboy,I updated my iPad2 to ios5.1 yesterday, and I purposely have left the email app open now instead of using the fix of closing it every time. I have been receiving emails pushed to my accounts all day with no issues at this time.
I hope it sticks, but if not I will post back here.

Mar 9, 2012 4:17 AM in response to kwnby Enryx,It's time to change...
I am the Exchange Server Admin where I work and Push service it's always up!
Gmail is the same, my account always get push mail.
Please Apple, don't try to engine "hot water", please contact Business Enterprise to get mail service work again (i.e. M$) and give a new service all over the World.
Or use MobileMe again...
Is it possible to write to APPLE CEO & CIO ?

Mar 9, 2012 5:26 AM in response to Enryxby Jim144,I would suggest contacting iCloud support or make an appointment with the Genius Bar at your local Apple Store. There may be a problem with your setup of iCloud on your device and/or a problem with the device itself.

Mar 9, 2012 7:37 AM in response to Jim144by ACC7,With all due respect, there are a lot of people on this thread who have spent months (since October) with this issue. I can tell you that I have had 4 genius bar appointments, hours of phone support, months of email support and three (3) new devices. For those who just want to accept this iCloud issue, that's fine. However, most of us posting are providing updates or tips, and hey, what can I say it's also a place to vent our frustration because we feel that Apple is not listening.
If someone does not have a problem with iCloud I really don't understand why you are on this board to begin with. I think we all know how to get Apple support, online or otherwise.
As for an update, my techs put a MobileMe test email account on my phone and it worked perfectly. When we removed it and reinstalled iCloud email stopped pushing. Interesting find but they have not yet come up with a solution.

Mar 9, 2012 7:55 AM in response to Harris Edmontonby teb,Harris - I was a mobile me user and most of my stuff still goes to my .mac address. Yes, there are things that haven't been sorted out and there was never a fix for like replying to all from .mac wiil send a cc: to .me and then for the rest of the chain anyone who replies to all sends me two copies. This error has never been succesfully hunted down. For me some days push is better than others. If it has been a little bit of time since I last got mail I just open the app and it automatically fetches it. Would I like it to be fixed 100% of the time, yes. Do, I think the push problem might have something to do with .mac vs. .me, yes.
