Mar 9, 2012 9:15 AM in response to marcwiegelmannby theBigD23,Anyone here that did NOT convert from a MobileMe to iCloud and is consistently not getting Push?
Has anyone that has had this issue changed email to a brand new iCloud @me email address and now Push works?

Mar 9, 2012 9:20 AM in response to theBigD23by ACC7,My experience was that as part of troubleshooting/testing, I did set up a second "me" email address and that also stopped pushing.

Mar 9, 2012 9:27 AM in response to ACC7by theBigD23,Would be really frustrating to change everything and have it stop working with a new email address. For me, Push did stop even with the 5.1 update. This morning, I checked my email and when I launched Mail, 4 emails came through.

Mar 9, 2012 10:20 AM in response to marcwiegelmannby Pinaboy,Just checking in...
Day 2 after the 5.1 update. All 3 AT&T email accounts and my .me account are still pushing. iCal pushing notifications fine also. Just ran a test to all devices; Mac, iPad, and iPhone. Sent an email to all addresses - all emails were received on all devices within 15 seconds. All devices were in sleep mode.
So far, so good - but I do hope everyone can find resolve very soon!

Mar 9, 2012 2:24 PM in response to marcwiegelmannby mricci,I am having the same issue and I have indeed updated to iOS5. No such luck. Why the **** isn't apple addressing this issue...it's 6 months old? Forcing loyal (so loyal that we payed $100 a year) to switch from a completely adequate system to one that doesn't work is irresponsible as a business practice.
I've been to the store to talk to a "genius" and he just blinked at me and asked if I entered my email in as a @mac account. Now I am restoring my phone to see if that works. My guess is it will not.
If you are a forum moderator PLEASE RESPOND AND PLEASE HELP US!!! It's getting out of control.

Mar 9, 2012 2:39 PM in response to tebby Impaler80s,As much as I'd like to believe it's working for most, I think the real answer is that most people that use iCloud email don't care whether it pushes or not, or may not even know it does that. I think it's widespread, based on what so many are saying.
I have an old .Mac account, and I wonder if iCloud just hasn't migrated well from the .Mac and MobileMe days. Anyone else have an old .mac account that have problems?

Mar 9, 2012 2:51 PM in response to mricciby Impaler80s,Yeah, that just confirms for me, time and time again, that their software isn't persistent. Every morning I get up, and it pushes dozens of emails from the night before. It's like it just shuts down sometimes, maybe when on WiFi and charging? My iCloud backups happen at that time. Maybe the daemon that's listening for new mail is failing and not restarting. Who knows. In these days of cloud services, we're at their mercy.

Mar 9, 2012 2:55 PM in response to Impaler80sby mricci,It's unfair though. I need emails in a timely fashion. That's why I have a smart phone. Otherwise I'd just go down to the local Internet Cafe (do they still have those?) and check my hotmail account once a week like a normal person.

Mar 9, 2012 2:57 PM in response to mricciby Impaler80s,Couldn't agree with your frustration more. Just have to keep raising it as an issue. They'll fix it if they think it's a problem and if it starts costing serious money in their tech's time.

Mar 9, 2012 3:27 PM in response to Impaler80sby ACC7,Are you guys AT&T, Verizon or Sprint? Curious because my tech said they re-created the issue but it was "another network" and when they switched networks they were then NOT able to re-create. I am assumming they mean provider network. I'm AT&T & would like to hear what other networks are having this issue.
-
Mar 9, 2012 3:34 PM in response to ACC7by Impaler80s,I'm on AT&T. But he might have referred to a different WiFi network. None of that should matter, though. If the cellular or WiFi network is pushing bits, mail should push to the phone.

Mar 9, 2012 3:46 PM in response to ACC7by mricci,AT&T. I agree. It seems that my wifi is causing an issue, but that shouldn't matter. Also, I'm to the point of overthinking and may be making stuff up in my head.

Mar 9, 2012 3:52 PM in response to Impaler80sby Enryx,It's not a network issue! I'm sure you get the same result with line GPRS, 3G, WiFi, etc.
Apple don't want to talk about this case because it' a big service fail, all over the World.
There's no update or restore you can count on, I got fw 5.1 and the issue is the same. I tested all the advise found in forum and internet with the same results... iCloud mail push doesn't work!
Why don't we try to write a letter to all Newspapers in all Country?!
Let's go and try together...
