May 15, 2012 6:59 AM in response to granfioby Nick Page,I think that SH4RKs fix is just a variation of the theme of fixes that have been suggested. Most contributions here have had their merits and offer short term fixes but the fact remains that push mail is inconsistent.
Personally, and it's only my view, I'd like to think that we'll see some improvement once MobileMe is abandoned at the end of June and when iCloud should be fully functional. At the moment iCloud seems to be in transition and we'll just have to patient a little longer.
My push mail has good days and bad days!

May 15, 2012 7:45 AM in response to Nick Pageby Sh4rk,Hello Nick,
My push notifications are working flawlessly since April 13, when I posted that solution. It's been over a month
I see granfio is OK too (let's see if it lasts). Since we're both from Italy, that might be the cause. I don't know if Google DNS's make troubles in Italy, maybe if someone living somewhere else is using them and can't get push to work can try it out.
Bye

May 17, 2012 9:42 AM in response to marcwiegelmannby patrique000,I have been having the same problem. It ended up being a simple fix for me. Not sure if you tried it already. I just deleted the iCloud account off of my phone complety. Then I turned the phone off and back on and signed in under my same account for iCloud. It has worked fine ever since.

May 17, 2012 6:23 PM in response to patrique000by TimtheRockstar,I have been watching the thread, and did what patrique000 did.
Close to 3 weeks ago, deleted iCloud (***** you have to have it for the "Find my iPhone" capability).
I have not had an issue that I have noticed with Push Mail.
To re-iterate:
Gmail account
Google Apps for Domains Account
Exchange (2007)
Exchange (2010)
All are working, none would push with iCloud enabled and configured.

May 18, 2012 6:59 AM in response to Sh4rkby dogear,Had a guy standing right next to me, both of us using the Google DNS servers and his push was working mine was not. I will say this, he didn't have an iPhone. My two cents worth is that this is some kind of Apple side server issue. I have tried all of the suggestions on this post and none have worked. Not the greatest of work arounds but I am just using "Fetch" instead of push so it takes 15 minutes to get email instead of right away. Push was working fine for me up until last week when I could not get email at all. Apple did admit that 1% of their customers were afected by this, I guess I was one of the 1%. After email came back up again no push. Cheers

May 24, 2012 2:16 PM in response to Gimbanziby bravout,I've tried everything it seems like in this thread, and it just doesn't seem to be working at all. With everything I've tried, I've had zero luck getting push to work even for a little while. Several resets, several icloud account deletions, sever setting changes and just flat nothing. I'm not sure what is going on here, I'm just ****** and frustrated.
I'm also not sure what the next step would be... Do I take it to the Genius Bar even though it's doing it on my 4s and my iPad 2? And I can't get either one to work at all. This has to be an iCloud issue.
-
May 24, 2012 2:22 PM in response to bravoutby lsjrlsjr,Definitely report the issue. The Genius Bar won't get you anywhere with this, unfortunately. Report it to MobileMe Support/iCloud Support, anywhere you can, so they realize just how many people are affected.
I'm still waiting on the next update from Tech Support as my case has, supposedly, been escalated. -
May 25, 2012 7:15 PM in response to lsjrlsjrby thesaint_dfw,The first thing the advisor would say is to delete and re-add iCloud account. I don't want to do that as I have the issue on my iPad as well. iCloud on Mac for some reason is working fine.

May 25, 2012 10:27 PM in response to thesaint_dfwby SchiffyM,Until two days ago, my push on my me.com address (switched to iCloud about a month ago) worked flawlessly on both my iPhone and iPad. Suddenly, it doesn't work at all. I have not changed anything. (I updated to 5.1.1 more than two weeks ago, so that's not the culprit.) I keep my iPad next to my bed. I used to wake up in the morning to a night's worth of emails (and if I forgot to turn the sound off, I was bugged during the night by the ding of each incoming email). The last two nights, nothing. But when I open mail in the morning, all the night's emails suddenly flow in.
This would seem to be a server-side issue if it's stopped functioning without my doing anything at all (and on both my IOS devices), right? Or am I being technically naïve?
-
May 25, 2012 10:31 PM in response to SchiffyMby Impaler80s,It's a software issue on Apple's side. Period.

May 26, 2012 7:15 AM in response to marcwiegelmannby jhtakahashi,My iCloud email stopped pushing on my 3rd generation iPad, but works fine on my iPhone 4. I've already tried deleting my iCloud account on my iPad, restarting my iPad and then added my iCloud account and that helped none. I've got no idea what to do now.
