May 27, 2012 3:27 AM in response to Grant Symonby P. Verbrugge,Good to see I am not the only one.
I had the problem with iOS 5.0.1 and now with 5.1.1. So it seems it's not an iOS issue. I have this problem only with my iCloud account. I also have a hotmail account that is working fine. It's only my iCloud account.
One thing is for sure, that it ***** big time that it suddenly stops working! I have no clue why it suddenly stopped. :-(
I restarted my phone several times. I even upgraded iOS from from 5.0.1 to 5.1.1 yesterday, but the problem is still here. Sometimes I get one push for 8 mails in my mailbox. 95% of the time I have to do a manual check to see if I have mail, as no pushes message come through. Not on Wifi and not on 3G.

May 27, 2012 4:21 AM in response to P. Verbruggeby Grant Symon,P. Verbrugge,
guessing you read my post, since it's marked as the post you replied to ... but did you try a Network Reset? Also, are any of the other things I mention relevant to you? Airplane Mode etc. etc.?

May 27, 2012 4:56 AM in response to Grant Symonby P. Verbrugge,I read the post indeed and tried the different things you said. Nothing helped. Does not work on Wifi, 3G, etc. I deleted my iCloud account on the phone and added it again. Did not work also.
Suck when e-mail push is not working.

May 27, 2012 6:03 AM in response to marcwiegelmannby Ray Demel,I am also having the same issue that started suddenly 3 days ago only on my IOS devices. Mail on my MacBook continues to work - just no push on an iPhone or Ipad. I have tried all the suggestions on this post and nothing works. Anxious to hear if anyone finds a solution.
Thanks

May 27, 2012 6:45 AM in response to marcwiegelmannby sanjayfromtoronto,Just want to add one more voice to this. iCloud push mail stopped working for me as well about three days ago. Worked just fine until then. Have tried resetting network settings, stopping Emil, deleting iCloud account ... AND because I knew Apple waold ask I do, ... updated to 5.1.1 for. 5.0.1 with which I was happy.
Set up 5.1.1 as a new phone and did not restore anything. Push mail still not working for iCloud. Works just fine with my business account, so this is definitely a problem with Apple.
Have to say, with the recent problems with Apple mail, "it just works" seems sort of a lie just about now.

May 27, 2012 6:50 AM in response to marcwiegelmannby jimmypowder,All of these so called fixes are a crock!!! Until Apple fixes their software and it's interaction with cloud ,everyone who has
Posted a fix is whistling Dixie.
Yes , closing out the email app works temporarily and is the best halfass solution at the moment
APPLE SHOULD BE EMBARASSED!

May 27, 2012 7:21 AM in response to marcwiegelmannby sanjayfromtoronto,Curiously enough, I just happened to check mail on my iPad 3 (the "new one") and mail is working there. Both it and my iPhone 4 are on IOS5.1.1. For me at least, right at this moment the problem appears to be the phone. The problem started on 5.0.1 a few days ago and persists with 5.1.1 - clean, fresh install, no restores.

May 27, 2012 10:47 AM in response to marcwiegelmannby Sakellaris,The problem only exists in old mobileme accounts. If you create a new icloud account there is no problem.

You are incorrect.
My iPad2 is an older mobile me account and I have had this issue since October last year. None of the fixes lised here or by apple have fixed the issue. Only a full exit of the email app has been of help.
My wife's iPad2 is on a brand new iCloud account, and it now has the same issue after the 5.1.1 update.
This problem is not specific to any device or account type or email provider.
It is within apple to find the fix and address the community.
