May 28, 2012 8:15 AM in response to marcwiegelmannby slevit1,Just wanted to add one more person to the thread...my push e-mail is not working on the iPhone either! In the past, it would occasionally stop working, but this was always fixed by resetting the phone. However, for the past couple of days, it's just not pushing anymore, and nothing seems to fix it. I have tried restarting the phone, deleting my iCloud account and putting it back, resetting network settings, and nothing fixes it. Based on the number of recent posts, this has got to be an issue on Apple's side. No amount of restoring your phone or getting a new one is likely to fix it. Hopefully they at least acknowledge the problem soon! I did recently update to the newest firmware, but I think the push issues started more recently than the firmware update.
It seems to be working fine on the mac mail app and is working well on the icloud.com site. The phone does seem to instantly push things back up to the server (if I delete a message from the iphone, it's gone immediately on the iCloud site), but doesn't receive push e-mail at all.

May 28, 2012 8:39 AM in response to marcwiegelmannby alfredo1,I was one of the original people with this issue on this forum. I am an original mobileMe user, migrating to iCloud on a NEW 4S. after going through a few months of issues, I finally reset my mail settings (deleted and re-added) and ALSO restored my ios on my phone from backup. reset the phone as a new phone and restored. (As I understand, occasionally something gets hung during ios ipdates or adding/deleting apps). My push has been working flawlessly now for months now (iphone 4S, iPad 3). I DO get an occasional push issue once a month os so (If i go from a wifi that is behind a firewall where email is blocked), but other than that, it's been working great for quite a while. Try a full restore. reset to factory settings and restore from backup. At this point it wont hurt. Hope you guys can get it working.

May 28, 2012 8:45 AM in response to alfredo1by ACC7,I have been having the issue since October. I have tried every single fix on this board, and everything is temporary. I have done countless restores, and Apple tried to convince me it was a problem with my phone - so they swapped out my phone. Then they swapped it again. And again. So, I have had 3 new phones and email does not push. I have been "escalated" on Apple care, and still no solution - because there is NO solution. The only "fix" that works is to close out Mail app, and let it reset itself. Or, set your phone to "fetch" because at least then you will get your emails every 15 minutes.
In the past two weeks I have noticed push much worse on some days... I have a feeling that this may be resolved once they do away with Mobile Me completely in June. At least I hope so.

May 28, 2012 9:19 AM in response to alfredo1by Robb B.,No one should have to do this to get email working properly. It takes literally hours to restore my devices. It's an unacceptable "solution." They need to fix it and make it work, period.

May 28, 2012 9:19 AM in response to marcwiegelmannby dogear,Haven't had push for around 2 weeks now. Have tried everything suggested on this post save for restore as new device, nothing worked. For a weeks now have just been useing fetch instead of push for the iCloud mail. Just on a chance I tried setting one my iPads to push, sent a test email and it worked. Turned on push on my iPhone and other iPad and all seem to be pushing again. I have made no changes to any system for a week save for tuning on push again. This is an apple side issue, pretty sure. Going through restores and even exchnaging devices with apple is not going to effect a fix. As with all issues this could be a multidementional problem but I really think the main issue is server side on apple's part. We will see how long push continues to work on my devices. Cheers All

May 28, 2012 9:30 AM in response to marcwiegelmannby jyp371,Push mail does'nt work since 2012/05/24 7.00 PM HAEC in France for me. I've 3 accounts and I'm an original MobileMe user.
I tried all the solutions on this bord. Nothing happen.
I called Apple support, for us iCloud is functional.
Push mail on iCloud is only functional if you're a new member not an older MobilMe.
You can test this by creating a new iCloud account, push mail is functional.
The problem comes from Apple.
Apple must solve this problem quickly.

May 28, 2012 10:01 AM in response to jyp371by Nick Page,Since my last post I've had a flurry of phone calls from AppleCare which led to a phone call from a Senior Advisor at Apple CA.USA !
Needless to say I've brought to the attention not just this thread but the various issues and attempted fixes by each and everyone of us.
Apple have created a test iCloud account for my 4s. Various engineers for Servers to iCloud and iPhone have received a 'heads up' and the plan led by the Senior Advisor is to send me emails over 24hrs to see if and where the fault might lie.
It's a sort of plan and I guess they are not going to give me a new phone without some sort of justification.
Place your bets here !!

May 28, 2012 10:06 AM in response to marcwiegelmannby Iamsik,I've also concluding it is only effect members with MobileMe accounts that migrated over to iCloud.
I created a new account and it seems to work fine but when I delete it and add my old account in again. There is no push. DRIVING ME MENTAL!!

May 28, 2012 10:10 AM in response to Nick Pageby ACC7,With all due respect, Nick, this sis something they had me do several months ago. It will not work. Also, you should have them test it for more than 24 hours because we all know push can work for several days at a time. The next thing they will have you do is I stall a diagnostic app on your phone & they will have you send them phone logs. Then you will not hear from them while they are analyzing them. They have been "analyzing" my logs for about 2 months. I wish you well.

May 28, 2012 10:16 AM in response to marcwiegelmannby P. Verbrugge,Well I figured out that push does not work on only my iPhone. It works perfectly on my MacBook pro and my New IPad. I just added my account to the iPad and that works. Mails are pushed and get a message. However, my phone doesn't do anything. So in my case it's not working on only my iPhone!

May 28, 2012 10:19 AM in response to marcwiegelmannby lsjrlsjr,If lots of people wrote to Macworld, Macrumors, etc, maybe it'd get some press and attention?
To those just signing in saying it's a new issue and it's so annoying and you hope it's fixed quickly, some of us have had this issue since the migration from MobileMe to iCloud back in OCTOBER. 7+ months now of unreliable push mail. And it DOES work on MAC LION Mail...it is just the devices. Doesn't matter if it's a new 4S, a replacement 4s, or ANOTHER replacement 4s.
I asked a friend last night if he'd switched to iCloud yet and he said no. I told him to wait until they make you. He had no idea about the mail issue. Must be nice.
Unreal.
