May 28, 2012 5:37 PM in response to thesaint_dfwby Bill Swartz,Push stopped working for me on May 25, on both my iPhone 4S and iPad 2. Automatic fetching (e.g., Every 30 minutes) doesn't work either. New mail is received only when the Mail app is activated or manually refreshed.

May 28, 2012 5:38 PM in response to marcwiegelmannby nyctjk49,I too lost push emails on my iphone 4S on May 24, although my wife who was primary on our mobile me account has not experienced any interruption. We are both on icloud now for at least 7 months and both phones were upgraded to iOS 5.1.1 about two weeks ago. But it was not until 5/24 that this problem started. I recall several years ago when Apple migrated from itools to Mobile Me, they had major problems that effected about 15 % of their subcribers. I was totally without email for almost 2 weeks and when it was restored all of my old emails were completely lost. Apple only apologized and their solution was to give those of us who were effected several free months of MobileMe service. On that occcasion it was only my email account and not my wife's that was effected. Perhaps the same transitioning problems they had then are coming back to haunt them again as they transition from MobileMe to iCloud.

May 28, 2012 5:56 PM in response to nyctjk49by Jojo Mac,I have a temporary solution for most of you until Apple A. Admits there is a problem with migrating MobileMe accounts to iCloud and B. Fixes the issue.
Since the issue seems to effect migrated accounts, create a new iCloud account from scratch at www.icloud.com.
Go into your mail, contacts, calendar settings on your iOS device and set up your new account to only retrieve mail.
Use your browser to visit www.icloud.com and sign in under the problem account.
Click on the mail icon in iCloud and go to preferences in the top right corner of the page.
Choose 'forward mail' in preferences and fill in your new iCloud mail address into the address field.
Save and quit.
Go back into the mail settings of your iOS device and set the fetch of your new email address to 'push'.
This is only a work around, but since iCloud is free, it'll have to do until Apple fixes this problem.

May 28, 2012 6:19 PM in response to Bill Swartzby thesaint_dfw,Thats strange. I have the Fetch set to 30 mins and its working fine. Try to restart the phone to see if that fixes the problem.
Btw, I added my iCloud account on my wife's iPhone and push is still not working. Definitely some issue with Apple.

May 28, 2012 7:00 PM in response to marcwiegelmannby bbleecker,I wish I read this post a couple of days ago.
I just completly wiped my phone and reloaded from scratch, and still I am expierencing problems with PUSH on my primary @me.com email address.
My secondary address works correctly. Both accounts were converted from MobileMe.
I wish Apple would have published something about the service health. I could have saved hours plus I almost put a hole in the wall when I was about to through the phone into the wall. I think that I could have gotton that replaced with the Protection + plan.

May 29, 2012 1:56 AM in response to marcwiegelmannby Chuck Gould,I'd like to add another data point.
Other than mail, iCloud data does push to iOS (from iOS).
To test this, I created a Reminder for +5 min. from the iPhone. The Reminder alert went off on both the iPhone and iPad (without having opened the Reminder app, as this could cause a manual sync). I then created an Event in the Calendar app, also within 5 minutes, from my iPad. Both the iPad and iPhone alert went off on schedule (also without opening the Calendar app on the iPhone to avoid causing a manual sync). I chose 5 minutes to make sure no polled fetch could perform the sync, even though both devices were set to Push.
To sum all that up, both devices could create an iCloud object which would then be pushed to the other device. I didn't test Notes or Bookmarks as the only way to tell if they were pushed would be to open their respective apps, possibly causing a manual fetch of the current data.
Mail, however, still fails Push syncing. All this is interesting as the correct device ids for iCloud push syncing must be on Apple's iCloud servers, but are somehow disconnected from mail.

May 29, 2012 4:59 AM in response to marcwiegelmannby jimmypowder,I moved over to Icloud email because I thought that it would work more efficiently with the iphone considering
it's all Apple .
WHAT A BIG MISTAKE !
not pushing this morning on my iphone .My mac is pushing fine so they must be on different servers is my guess.

May 29, 2012 9:47 AM in response to jimmypowderby edward.f,I had been having problems with this icloud email ever since it came out. I was on the phone with an Apple rep and she told me you need to have fetch on as well for Push to work. I turned fetch on to the lowest setting (hourly) and ever since it has been working beautifully with instantaneous emails on both my ipad3 and iphone4s for about a week now. I know some purists out there will say that this is not the real solution but for me it works. I hope this works for everyone.

May 29, 2012 10:01 AM in response to jimmypowderby edward.f,Sorry to hear that....believe me I know how frustrating this can be; especially if you used to have a blackberry, still the king of exchange email(not much else though)

May 29, 2012 10:40 AM in response to nyctjk49by Impaler80s,Just so you know, Apple migrated from .mac to MobileMe, not from iTools. iTools came out in 2000, .mac replaced iTools in 2002, and MobileMe replaced .mac in 2008.
