Q: Push email does not work (iCloud)

Since the update to icloud the push email does not work anymore. Im only talking about the me.com adress no Yahoo oder other Emails. I didnt changed the Mail settings and pushing mails worked fine before the update to icloud.

Example:

When i switched on the phone in the morning the mails i received during the night immediately got pushed to the iphone. That doesnt work anymore. It only receives the mails when i switch to the mail app.

Any suggestions anyone?!?

Im using newest iOS 5 with an iPhone 4S and migrated my old me.com account to iCloud.

Didn't work for me as well. I'm in 4s and version 5.1.1 Have been having issues for years, but once in a while, I would delete the account from the phone, then import again, and it would work for a few weeks/months.

Stopped working altogether in the past 2 months. andrewita's fix did not work for me.

I'm mostly on wifi if that makes any difference...

As an ex BlackBerry user forced over to the the iPhone for business I setup my email following these instructions and I haven't had a problem at all. http://blog.wholestone.co.uk/2012/11/push-email-to-your-iphone-like.html

I have the latest iOS on an iPhone 4S and so far all of my many accounts forwarding through the iCloud have been delivered instantly without fail. iCoud seems to be working well now although I never had the frustration some others have had with the iCloud.  Battery life is better too now my iPhone's not checking multiple accounts for mail every 15 minutes.

Regardign the calendar as some have mentioned, I did make the mistake of switching on the Calendar/Reminders on my iMac before I fully understood how it worked and when I switched it off my calendar of 4 years historical data was wiped out!!  Thank goodness I had a time machine back up.

I have had the same issue since 5.1 and it remains with 6 - new IPhone 5, have done all what I've read.  Apple support not much of a help overall.  Not offering anything other than a hard wipe, restore as new etc etc.  After reading so many folks going through that exact process, I just can't see the benefit of taking 4 to 5 hours out of my life to manually put back all the apps. the music, the re-sign in of all app passwords and wifi passwords to be left with the same issue.  With all my other devices, IPad and four Mac computers receiving ICloud email flawlessly and ONLY the Iphone having these intermittent push issues, I can only believe that there is some hitch in the settings on the ICloud end.  I have done all the suggested fixes minus the deep wipe and restore as new

Download find my iphone app from the app store, sign in, set your icloud mail account to push, reset your device and Walla! push mail for icloud works.

Well,  I guess it's easier writing commentes on apple forums than to fix your push mail issue.

    Any way, this solves it.

Or you can turn off find my iphone option under icloud, set your icloud email to push, reboot your device and you have icloud push mail working.

I'll give it a couple weeks and see, unless it fails sooner.  If it does fail, I'll chime in here - thanks again

well after trying the the find my phone ap, and it worked up until yesterday.  I'm now back at the same place as before.  My emails are not being consistently pushed.  I don't comprehend how my ICloud mail gets pushed just fine for a few weeks and then for no visible reason it goes back to me having to physically check for mail every half hour.  Any more suggestions would be greatly appreciated

I now have the same problem, Again! My email push has been working perfectly for months now, I loaded iOS 6.0.2 on my iPhone5 and I now get email pushed to my iPhone OK, but my iPad2 is not receiving email at all.

Another bonus, on my iPhone my test webpage load with LTE used to take seconds to load, now it is minutes - Literally!!!
