I have an IP Cam which I currently use to store captured still images onto my FTP server on a mac mini.
As an alternative I would like to store those images onto my iDisk or documents within the cloud.
The IP Cam supports FTP access (only). Is there a way to make the camera ftp'ing the files into the iCloud?

No, can't be done.
iDisk no longer exists in iCloud, and doesn't use FTP anyway - only WebDAV, and iCloud does not allow storage of arbitrary files.
You can only use iOS pages,numbers and keynote to "store" office documents to the cloud and re-download them to a Mac or PC using a browser at icloud.com/iwork.
The Browser is the only "man in the middle" to bridge the gab between iOS and PC/Mac .
