Itunes doesnt recognize iPhone (iOS 5) over wifi

I updated my iPhone 4 to iOS 5 and I just cannot seem to get WiFi sync working! I am running windows 7 and have the lastest version of itunes. I plugged in the iPhone with iTunes open and checked the "Sync this iPhone/iPod over Wi-Fi" box. I then synced the iphone from the iPhone. Once the sync has completed I removed the Iphone from the USB and immediately it disappears from the devices list in iTunes. I have plugged it into a power source and it still doesnt apper in the devices list. I have tried restarting the PC, iphone, and the router but the iPhone still wont show up in itunes unless its plugged in via USB.

Can anyone help?

I have now managed to get wifi sync working but not sure if this is the best long term solution. I disabled the windows firewall and now the iphone is recognized in itunes without the USB plugged in. I am no security expert BUT I am guessing its not a good idea to permanently disable the firewall. Does anyone know what setting i need to change so that windows firewall doesnt block my iphone?
