My iPhone 4s is stuck in recovery mode...iTunes No Help....What now?

My iphone 4s is requiring me to plug it in to iTunes, I can't even use my phone as A PHONE right now, the screen just tells me to plug into iTunes. So I do plug it into iTunes and click "Restore" like it tells me to and then it says "There is no software available" and "make sure you have the most current version of iTunes and try again"

My iTunes says it is up to date, BUT it is version 9.2 and this is the latest version that my laptop takes. I have MAC OS X 10.4.11 and apparently I can't have a new iphone with my Mac.

I can't believe my iPhone is literally frozen in one mode like a computer from the 80's. Before this screen, my iphone 4s completely froze because I was using Pandora (that is all). It didn't seem to be able to handle the songs switching ni between and it would freeze ,then it had this shutting down type screen.

I would love to dial APPLE support, but my iphone won't even let me dial out or anything. Looks like I will have to take it to the store after work tomorrow.

Has anyone else had this crazy problem?

You need to upgrade your computer's OS to at least OS X 10.5.8 and use iTunes 10.5.

With OS X 10.4.11, you cannot upgrade beyond iTunes 9.2.1.

OS X upgrades from 10.4.XX to 10.5.XX require purchasing a DVD with the new OS. If your laptop has an intel processor, you can upgrade directly to OS X 10.6 for $29.

Take your laptop to the store with your new phone and ask them what your best options are.
