Can you be more specific? Have you got any notifications, if so, from where - e.g. text, Twitter, Facebook etc.
Have you checked the Notifications options under Settings?
A
I am not getting any notifications but email and they are only showing up under the notifications center not popping up as an alert like they are suppose to.
I have set all of the options under "notifications" in settings.
OK - if you go to the settings for each app under notifications, there are different options for each application.
You might want to check those.
For example, on Mail you can set notification to be None, Banners or Alerts. I think the default is None.
Have you done that and are you sure you are getting events which are delivering notifications?
A
Yes I have done that for each app. Yes I am sure I should be getting notifications.
Mave you can get someone to send you a direct message in Twitter, an SMS etc and see if they come through.
If not, you might want to check with your phone service provider to see if they have any service issues.

Notificactions for??????
I deleted the Facebook app from my iPhone 4S (iOS5), deleted it from iTunes, and then downloaded into iTunes and transferred it to my iPhone again. I'm now receiving push notifications, but I'll post back here if it stops working!
Got it!!!! A re-install is NOT the answer. You need to turn on individual notifications under Settings > Facebook > Push Notifications, BUT (and this is a big and confusing BUT) you also need to turn on global push settings under Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendards > Fetch New Data (and change the Push slider to 'on'). This doesn't sound like it makes sense, but I guess that the push slider under 'Mail, Contacts, Calendars' is actually for ALL push notifications on iPhone, and not just Mail, Contacts and Calendar apps!
