This is probably not the smartest question. But I'm trying to edit the html of my page, in text editor, and the page looks like this:
Now I've done this before and I know it should be possible to edit the HTML pages, but how?

To be able to edit any html pages from iWeb, you need to publish first to get them. Open iWeb and publish to a local folder and then open the resultant html pages with your text editor.
It was the ignore .... issue (don't know what they call it in English), thought I'd covered that, but apparently not!
Using TextEdit?
Set it to "plain text".
Ignore = negeer
