Q: Why are my Photos from iPhone not showing up in iPhoto during sync? (with and without USB)

I have chose to deactivate Photostream.

But.. Why aren't my photos syncing from my iPhone Camera Roll (New Photos) into iPhoto or anywhere on my Mac?

This is frustrating. Have tried numerous syncs with no results..

Used Wi-Fi Sync and USB sync .

Someone please advice . Thanks!

I have been having the same problem. It started with my iPhone 3GS and iOS 5 and it's continued with the new iPhone 4S. I haven't found anything definitive to solve the problem, though.

Someone actually responded to me in another thread:

Told me to try unchecking the box to sync Photos.

Do a sync.

Then check the box.

And sync again.

Going to try that now. Let me know if it works for you James

ok, I just tried unsyncing but the photos from my phone didn't get removed. strange.

(Wi-Fi sync btw)

Just tried to recheck the photo checkbox and still nothing.

Hope someone more experienced comes by with help.

I have no problem getting photos from iPhoto to my iPhone, it's the other way that's borked. The iPhone doesn't even show up as a camera source in iPhoto any more. (Not in Image Capture, either.)

yes, which is exactly my point. It's not even showing up in iPhoto.

No way to Sync back!

So many new photos I need to sync! zzz....

I have iphone 3g and iphone 4, and sync with windows 7 laptop. I've also noticed this issue for some time. I assume this workaround will work on macs also.

I go to my file explorer, and browse the iphone, which shows up like an external drive, then I copy all photos to a new folder in MY PICTURES. it's not as refined as most apple approaches, but being a windows user, I'm used to doing work arounds to get things done.

Hope this helps. and hopefully someone will fix this quirk with the photo sync.
