we have Websense as our firewall filter, we tried unblocking all sorts of URLs but stil are blocked when in the appstore.. what needs to be open .. Thanks

Go into Websense ( Triton Security Manager,/Web Security Tab ) as Administrator.

Select Unblock URL on Right Hand menu.

Under Define Unfiltered URLs -> ADVANCED Button:

Enter the following in the Advanced box...

.\.apple.

then click the TEST Button.

In the lower Target URLs Box paste in the apple store URL that fails and Click MATCH.

you should get your URL back with a Green Check, which means your grep string works.

Go Back to the Define Unfiltered URLs

Click the [>] Button to apply your new unfiltered URL. Scroll the list on the Right to the bottom & ensure that

your URL grep string is there. If So, click [ OK ].

Then click the YELLOW [ SAVE ALL ] button Upper right underneath the [ LOG Off ] Button to save this config.

You might need to restart the Filter Process in Control Panel -> SERVICES.
