Problem sending email using Mail.app 4.5

Hi

I'm trying to send mail using my iCloud email address; however, I'm getting the following error message:

The SMTP server “smtp.mail.me.com” rejected the

password for user “[username_here]@me.com”

Enter your password again or cancel.

I have configured Mail.app according to the instructions at http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4864 and am using the correct password. Does anyone know if there's something that I missed or do I just need to upgrade to Lion? Thank you for any help you can provide.

Mail-OTHER, Mac OS X (10.6.8), MacBook Pro 7,1

No, sorry. I eventually purchased Lion and this problem hasn't resurfaced for me. Previous to that, I used the web interface to manage my iCloud email. Clumsy and inconvenient, but was a lot more reliable than the hit-or-miss functionality of iCloud mail on Snow Leopard's Mail.app.
