On my iPhone 4, i could disable the sms preview via Settings > messaging >
on the iPhone 4s there is no option. Unless i'm mistaken?
if there is a way to remove the sms preview can you tell me how to do it ? if not i think it's a **** disgrace and an invasion of privacy if you cant protect personal messages from view from strangers.

Go to Settings - Notifications - Messages. Switch off Preview and View in Lock Screen.
Go to Settings - Notifications - Messages. Switch offPreviewandView in Lock Screen.
Settings>>Notifications>>Messages>>Show Preview
Calm down, they just moved the option to Notifications.
