Why is CBS Sports not loading properly

I've seen something like this before on my older (tiger) system, but in my case it was www.cnet.com (you might want to try that site too to see if you get what amounts mostly a text based display). I had in on that system for years and never could find out the exact cause. It also happened on my current 10.6.5 system (cnet again) and couldn't find the cause then either. Usually I'm pretty good at diagnosing and fixing these things but this one has always stumped me. My 10.6.5 "fix" was just to revert to a slightly older backup copy of the OS (always have backups).

Of course the revert meant that software update wanted to update stuff since that backup. One of those items is a thing called "iWeb Update 3.0.4". I can't help thinking it was the culprit so needless to say I haven't downloaded/installed that update. But to this day I periodically go back to cnet.com to see if it is still "working" properly.

Nothing, except delete any cookies associated with that site, delete Safari's caches, restart Safari, and try again.

I forgot to add that in my experience documented above with cnet, the problem was system wide, i.e., across multiple accounts and browsers. But it was only cnet so I didn't really care.😉

I am having the very same problem. It works just fine on my iPad but my Mac looks exactly the same as yours. Did you get an answer?
