"Insert math type equation" button in the menu bar?

I am writing a mathematics text, and would like to use Pages with Math Type 6. I need to insert "Math Type Equations" frequently. How can I customize the toolbar with a button that will allow me to do it with a single click rather than the pull-down menu? After all, if Word can do it . . .

fruhulda is correct on both counts -- there isn't a MathType button, nor a way to create one. Neither is there a keyboard shortcut. Going beyond fruhulda's instructions though, to create the shortcut, once you open System Preferences > Keyboard, and click the Keyboard Shortcuts tab, click Application Shortcuts in the left pane, then click +. Leave Application set to All Applications, and in Menu Title, type MathType Equation. In Keyboard Shortcut, press whatever keys you want. I used Command+E. Once you do that, click Add, and your new shortcut will be available in all 3 of the iWork '09 applications.
