Have almost the same problem here. NO audio at all, tried everything. No Music, no ringtone no audio during calls, microphone does not work and vibration neither.

I don't get all of the remaining issues. Since upgrading to 5.1 software i have had ZERO problems.

Apple pretended not to know about the problem when I called. Even the Apple store "super-genius's" acted suprised when I mentioned the problem and wihtout directly saying so, suggested it was abuse of the phone that likely caused the problem. Seriously? Its in an Otterbox

never got this prob when i was in ios 5.0.1! this *****!!! and i dont want and cant wait for 3 months to get a replacement phone from my carrier (smart) is this software or hardware?

Finally it didn't solve the problem....

The issue is that I've got no outgoing sound at all....even when using the loudspeaker option or a headset....

And my iPhone is out of warranty....

Hi mate have just tried this after not being able to hear people unless i put it on loudspeaker or had my headphones in. Was already on 3g so took it off then back on and also enabled roaming, were back on, nice one mate, not so ****** off now ;-)

Hello Apple.

I am sure there is a fix for this one-way audio issue on iPhone 4Gs phones. The problem is really annoying when the call is critical or urgent.
