Keyboard does not work when plugged in thunderbolt display

Keyboard does not work when plugged in thunderbolt display

So my keyboard and mouse is plugged into the thunderbolt display and everytime I get back from work, I hook up my MacBook Pro in the display and off I go, however the mouse works, but the keyboad never works, I have to plug it in the machine, then type my password then plug it back into the thunderbolt display, its funny that the mouse works, but they Apple keyboard does not! It's even the updated keyboard as well with Lion Keys!

Any suggestions guys ?

I just performed ans SMC reset and it seems ok for now.

Per Apple support, I reset the NVRAM or PRAM and it seems to have fixed the problem. My USB ports are not longer turning off. They were crashing every few hours and it's been 24 hours without an incident, so we'll see if it lasts. For those who don't know how to reset there is a link below.

My crashed again. I took it into Apple and they are replacing the logic board and the all in one cable.

they replaced both but it still didn't fix the problem
