The applications folder on my dock is gone. When I go to Finder and drag the Application folder to the dock, it displays the Address Book icon. It's the application folder but wrong icon. Anyone know how to correct this? Thanks.

Right-click it in the Dock, change it to display as a Folder rather than a Stack. Stacks show the icons of what they contain, Address Book is usually the first application in the folder.

Locate the Applications folder at the root of your hard drive. Drag the folder to the right side of the Dock next to the Trash can. You cannot put it in the other part of the Dock.

This was one of the most annoying things I've had on my mac since I upgraded from SL. I thought it was a quirky Lion thing.
