So... every time I try to open iTunes, this message pops out:
"The iTunes Library.itl file cannot be found or created. the default location for this file is in the 'iTunes' folder in the 'Music' folder."
I tried looking for the itl file, but i can't find it.
What should I do?

I found the answer in the apple knowledge base: How to open an alternate iTunes Library file or create a new one.
Still, a simple upgrade has caused hours of computer work (installing, re-installing, re-starting, reading articles, trying other things).
SO FRUSTRATING, and still not back to "normal."

This worked for me: press Shift while loading iTunes. Click on Library, click on iTunes Library, right-click on Properties. Click on Previous Versions, choose a previous version, click on Restore. Reboot your computer and iTunes should load.
